Problem: Let’s say an AP1201 and an iphone 4 are both 100% charged and combined together immediately after disconnected from the power. The AP1201 will start charging the phone immediately no matter how much battery left in the phone – even though it’s 100% charged! In 2 hours the AP1201 goes completely discharged while the phone is still full in charge, being able to do nothing once the battery REALLY drops to 20%.
Solution: Add a switch to control the on and off of charging! Only turn on the AP1201 when the phone battery amount is low. In this case no energy will be wasted on running through the circuits and no dissipation in air – get TRUELY 80% extra time.
Step 1: Check the space under the battery cover.

Step 2: select the micro switch that can be fit in the space

Step 3: Disconnect the positive side of the battery

Step 4: connect the switch between battery and circuit

Step 5: Relocated battery, release enough space to place switch

Step 6: Measure position on the battery cover for micro switch

Step 7: Make a hole on the battery cover

Step 8: glue the switch
